A list of 12 plants will be compiled in consultation with growers and trade. It is jointly determined which plants in which month the focus will be placed on. A large number of criteria are onsidered when choosing the plants.

Only once in three years time a product may be in the list, to promote many different products. To ensure that the plants are available at least four different growers should grow the plants and the plants should be available 7 months per year.
